I love making greeting cards so I decided to combine my two favorite hobbies by designing embroidered cards! The first set in the Embroidered Cards series is A2 (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″) All Occasion cards. This is a smaller card which is easy to mail and embellish.

We will learn to create two cards in the class, the Happy Birthday card and the Thinking of You card. We will also discuss cutting the cardstock layers and making card bases for the cards. This set of All Occasion cards includes four cards, so you will have two more cards to take home with you to complete.

You will need to bring your embroidery machine with a 5″ x 7″ hoop, a basic embroidery kit including small sharp scissors for trimming, sewing shears for trimming the applique patches, Dritz fabric glue stick, the following colors of embroidery thread (Brother colors given) #001 White, #405 Blue, #515 Moss Green, #800 Red, #206 Harvest Gold, #070 Corn Flower Blue, #017 Lt. Blue, #010 Cream Brown (Lt. Yellow). #085 Pink, and #323 Lt. Brown, embroidery bobbin thread and bobbins or prewound bobbins, and a memory stick for design transfer. Cost for this class is $40 which includes the class fee, the card kit including stabilizer, and the A2 All Occasion Embroidered Card designs.
